A Major Snowstorm
I have 2 memories to share.
One fine day in April we were hit by a major snowstorm which paralyzed public transportation. Since I was a commuter and was scheduled for a major test that day, I called Stevens and was promptly informed that since 80% of the students lived on campus they were open. So I walked from Jersey City to Hoboken in the snow and when I got to the classroom only two other commuters were there. All the guys who lived on campus were in their dorms. The professor cancelled the test. I was not happy!
My other memory was from the year 2000 when my younger son, Eric, also graduated from Stevens with a BE. I was very proud that day as we embraced and got our picture taken showing off our graduation rings. I am presently also bringing my grandson to Stevens often as I can to begin the brainwashing process and eventually have a third generation Blanco graduating from Stevens.
