High Winds on Castle Point
One of my most vivid memories at Stevens is the incredible wind that would come whipping off the Hudson and around the Center. Often there would be ropes put up to students could make their way from the dorms to the Center to eat. My then girlfriend, now wife Tina, would make her way to Stevens frequently (both when I lived there and when I was a commuter). There were at least three of those really windy days that happened in the space of about a month or two. Each time, she happened to be wearing a pair of white pants. All three of those times the wind blasted through, she went flying and ended up with huge mud and grass stains on her white pants. After the third time and third pair, that was it. She has never owned a pair of white pants again!
